  • Description
  • Working Notes
  • Available in Powder, Fine, Medium and Coarse grade frit and a sample size of 30 grams, a 200 gram Jar, and a 500 gram Jar

It is made from crushed, screened, and magnetically cleaned Bullseye-compatible sheet glass.

The colour of the frit in its unfired and fired states may differ greatly. In application, colour saturation may vary. Thin layers may be lighter in colour. Thicker layers may be darker and more saturated in colour.

  • Cold Characteristics

    Uniform colour.

    Working Notes

This glass can be unstable when subjected to extended heatwork (pattern bars, pot melts, boiled effect, kilncasting, etc.). Firing above 1500°F (815°C) for more than 15 minutes or firing slowly between 1250°F (677°C) and 1500°F (815°C) may result in an unstable glass. More susceptible to contaminants that seed devitrification than other glasses in the Bullseye line. Cap with clear or plan to treat the surface (sandblast, coldwork, or apply clear powder and refire) after firing.

Frits are versatile and can be used in:

    • Pate de verre and kilncasting
    • Kilnforming, including glass sketching and painting with light techniques
    • Torchworking and blowing, to create colours and patterns on surfaces.

Reactive Bullseye Glass effects

Used Reactive Cloud Opal Medium Frit, French Vanilla Opal Medium Frit & Dense White Opal Coarse Frit, as well as Sunflower Yellow & Spring Green Opal Stringers on top of Robin's Egg Blue with Tekta Clear, both 3mm, underneath to create a pleasing reactive effect in the plants. Found this idea on You Tube - my go to for inspiration.
