When storing glass frit or grain, it's crucial to protect it from moisture, contaminants, and physical damage. Here are some effective storage solutions:
Glass Jars or Bottles: Use airtight glass containers with secure lids, labeling each for easy identification.
Plastic Containers: Opt for high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polypropylene (PP) containers designed for chemical storage.
Ziplock Bags: Use high-quality plastic bags, squeezing out air and considering double-bagging.
Silica Gel Packets: Add moisture-absorbing silica gel packets to maintain a dry environment.
Storage Boxes with Dividers: For larger quantities, choose boxes with compartments to organize different types of frit.
Controlled Environment: Consider a humidity-controlled cabinet or a dry room for highly sensitive glass frit.
Remember to store the frit in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and extreme temperatures. Proper labeling and documentation are also essential for inventory management.
