This is a "delicious" colour in the Bullseye Glass range and is perfect for creating my new Gecko frit-cast moulded lizard.
This is Cranberry Pink is one of the most special pieces of glass I own. The photos don't do it justice in anyway, it really needs to be seen in person. It cuts nicely and has been such a wonderful addition to my recent pieces. I will definitely be saving some of this for my very special occasion personal stash! Photo taken before I worked up enough courage to make the first score line.
It's the only true neutral brown, without leaning to red or purple or being too grey. Very opaque.

I have started to explore draping glass. Most people suggest using ZYP Boron Nitrate, but it is hard to find in Australia. I was delighted to see that it is available from Chockadoo. They have a great range of products.
I have been using Thinfire Paper for a number of years and it was great to see that it’s available in larger quantities through Chockadoo. When I went to their website to order more paper, I found that it was out of stock but on order
. They have a nice feature that allows you to record your interest and be advised when it becomes available. I used this and was advised within a week. Chockadoo not only has a good range of products but also a commitment to sourcing what you need.
what i specifically love about this bead release (versus quite a few others i have used) is the total control i have in creating the consistency that works for me.
i make it up a batch to fill my dipping-jar and it's ready to go.
it also cleans well
a small side story- the mud wasps would come into my studio and nibble away at my mandrills to make their cocoons !!! which means i adjust my process from dipping ALL my mandrills to dipping only those needed for the session
this is a favourite colour of mine - what's not to love ? it's not quite clear and adds a beautiful hue to a base transparent colour.
glass lets light through, and this adds an extra something- all time favourite that isnt clear
