Bullseye 1823 Burnt Scarlet Striker Tint frit offers a warm translucent red-orange tone that develops into a rich burnt scarlet when fired, suitable for a wide range of fused glass applications. Powder grade frit melts quickly and evenly, producing a flat, paint-like surface when full fused.
This frit is produced from crushed, screened, and magnetically cleaned Bullseye-compatible sheet glass to ensure consistency and compatibility within the Bullseye COE 90 system.
Available sizes:

Working Notes
At full fuse and capped with clear glass, the mottling may remain but become faint in transmitted light. Lighter wisps may appear in reflected light. When uncapped, the mottling tends to even out, and the colour becomes more consistent and even.
This style is not suitable for kiln casting because it can become incompatible when held at high temperatures for an extended period. It may also become incompatible in instances where processes exceed the parameters of the test for compatibility. Testing is recommended when heat work exceeds these parameters.

This full-fuse schedule effectively strikes these glasses :
*The initial rate of heat is not a critical factor in successfully striking gold-bearing glasses. Choose an initial rate of heat appropriate to the scale and design of the project that you are firing.
**The remainder of the cycle depends on the thickness of the piece. Consult the Bullseye Annealing Chart. For colour-sensitive projects, we recommend testing the cycle you plan to use by fusing a small sample of a similar setup in the same kiln as the project to best predict final colour results.
