Bullseye 403 Opaline Striker Opaque frit offers a soft milky white base that develops warm opaline tones when fired, shifting toward delicate creamy peach to light orange hues depending on heatwork and firing conditions. Medium grade frit provides strong colour with visible texture and good melt control.
This frit is produced from crushed, screened, and magnetically cleaned Bullseye-compatible sheet glass to ensure consistency and compatibility within the Bullseye COE 90 system.

Cold Characteristics
Appears transparent and clear in its cold form. Occasional wisps of white are possible.
Working Notes
Requires a full fuse to strike to a hazy, milky white that transmits warm-hued light. Transmitted light varies based on thickness: Thinner pieces result in a yellowish hue, and thicker pieces in a warmer almost orange hue. Opacity increases with extended heat work.
Overlay Information
Opaline has great potential to expand the colour palette in kiln forming because it can create new colours with distinct properties. For more information, see Opaline Overlays.
