Bullseye 024 Tomato Red Striker Opaque frit offers a bright, tomato red opaque tone with bold, saturated color and consistent coverage. Fine grade frit offers excellent control with minimal surface texture.

This frit is produced from crushed, screened, and magnetically cleaned Bullseye-compatible sheet glass to ensure consistency and compatibility within the Bullseye COE 90 system.

Cold Characteristics

Colour variations common from red-orange to terracotta. Frequently lightly streaked and with yellow mottling on the back of the single-rolled sheet.

Working Notes

A cadmium/selenium glass. It can react with lead-bearing glasses or overglazes. Possible reactions with 001311, 001215. Much colour variation is typical upon firing. If a specific colour is important, always test it before beginning the project. Use glasses from the same dates. Do not assume that sheets of the same colour when cold will fire identically.

This style is unsuitable for kiln casting because it can become incompatible when held at high temperatures for an extended period. It may also become incompatible in instances where processes exceed the parameters of the test for compatibility. Testing is recommended when heat work exceeds these parameters.
