Enamel is a glassy compound applied to and bonded by heat (fusion) to a glass surface. Thompson Enamels are lead-free glass products.
80 mesh is glass ground to a particle size slightly finer than granular sugar. It is normally applied by sifting, but can also be mixed with water and inlayed or charged onto the substrate surface.
80 mesh means there are 80 openings per linear inch in a standard wire mesh screen.
Standard float window glass (approx.. 84 COE linear) may be used with the 5000 (opaques) and 6000 (transparent) series enamels as well as the Glass Painting Powders products.
